Open for business on Artfire!

I've finally listed my first products in my Artfire Studio (here)! I have a wire-worked star pendant in copper and turquoise, a segmented bracelet with a ceramic focal bead, and a wood bracelet with coordinating earrings (sold separately).

Here are a few pictures of the items:

I also spent the entire day putting together a rather complicated necklace made of a hand-crafted copper chain, turquoise beads and textured polymer clay components. It's probably the most ambitious piece I've ever made, but I'm pleased with the end results (not to mention the joy of just making it!). My sister says it reminds her of Jazz. I like that So, I think I'll call it "All That Jazz," of course!

I'll try to get pictures posted soon, but I want to wait to see if we get a few sunny days, as my outdoor pics turn out better than those taken inside.

And with that, I'm off to bed.
Blessings!

MaxLovesCleo Artfire shop opening SOON!

I'm finally taking the step from crafting for personal enjoyment to creating for fun and profit (fingers crossed!). For the immediate future I'll only be selling over the web at Artfire, but I hope to eventually expand to local shops and craft shows, and then, who knows!

I'll be using this blog to post upcoming projects, inspiration and research, and news about my business.

Here's a little taste:Steampunk-inspired pendants made from polymer clay, painted with metallic acrylics and/or mica powders, and sealed with a satin finish.

You can shop at www.MaxLovesCleo.artfire.com and you can follow me on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Saint-Paul-MN/Max-Loves-Cleo/165661426779

I'd love to hear from you -- leave me a comment!
